I knew what it meant and I enjoyed the stories on the website, but after a while I got tired of reading it. When I stopped visiting the site and people I knew started saying “fml” in their tweets and Facebook status updates, I didn’t really care because they can update anything they want.</p> <p>Now I can’t fucking stand it. Saying “fml”<span> </span>is only acceptable under some conditions. For example, you missed an exam that can’t be maken up for because your alarm clock turned off because of a blackout. Or you’re starving because you’re homeless. Or someone in your family died. Or you lost everything you have because your neighbor’s house was on fire and set yours on fire. You get the idea.</p> <p><span>But </span>no, people choose to use “fml” <span>when they decide to take naps in the day and complain about not being able to sleep at night. Or when they decide to start on their essay at 3AM. Or when they can’t go out because their parents don’t let them.
